KHIVA SILK FABRIC silk processing enterprise

Khiva Silk Fabric Limited Liability Company was registered on November 12, 2017. The activities of Khiva Silk Fabric LLC include the processing of cocoons and the production of finished products from silk fiber on the basis of a single technological chain.

That is:

- Construction of infrastructure for production;

- Installation of modern technological lines in the framework of the development of cocoon drying and primary processing systems;

- Construction of new mulberry plantations and reconstruction of existing ones by advanced methods:

- Rehabilitation of mulberry rows and planting of seedlings in farms cooperating with the enterprise;

- Construction of specialized worm farms and cultivation of cocoon raw materials in them;

- Establishment of primary processing and spinning of silk fiber;

- Organization of silkworm production;

- It is planned to launch a system for the production of finished fabrics from silk fiber.

Gurlan, Shovot, Koshkopir, Khiva districts are attached to our Khiva Silk Fabric LLC for cocoon cultivation. Khiva Silk Fabric LLC has introduced an investment project program worth $ 5.0 million in accordance with the 2018-2021 Targeted Plan for the implementation of the project on cocoon processing and production of finished products from silk fiber.

In 2018, under the investment project program, it carried out the construction of buildings in the equivalent of $ 200,000. Two cocoon spinning machines with an annual capacity of 144 tons of dry cocoons worth $ 270,000 and 4 machines for processing silkworm silk from residual cocoons were imported from China. In Gurlan, Shovot, Koshkopir and Khiva districts, 8 worm farms specializing in the equivalent of $ 200,000 have been built. It is also equivalent to $ 125,000 362 g in Gurlan district, 484.9 g in Shovot district, 474.3 g in Koshkopir district and 212.2 g in Khiva district. A total of 1,533.4 hectares of allocated mulberry plantations were planted with new mulberry plantations and the existing ones were reconstructed. From July 2018, our society has launched the production of silk products from cocoon raw materials received from Gurlan, Shovot, Koshkopir, Khiva districts. In Khiva city and district, 130 new jobs have been created for unemployed people, mostly women.In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 12, 2018 PK-3472 on measures to further develop the silk industry in the country, our society is included in the list of investment projects for export-oriented production of high value-added finished products in 2018-2021. Its products are mainly exported to China, Pakistan, India and Iran. In the III-IV quarter of 2018, 730,000 (seven hundred and thirty thousand) US dollars worth of silk products and silk wool were exported. In 2019, the export plan of 2,256,000 (two billion two hundred and fifty six thousand) US dollars was fulfilled. In 2020, it is planned to export 2,500,000 (Two billion five hundred thousand) US dollars.

Silk carpet weaving was carried out by hand, 20 carpet weaving machines were installed, and 30 women carpet weavers were employed. By the end of 2020, 50 workshops will be launched and women in need will be employed. According to the program of the Investment Project 2020, it is planned to launch and launch equipment for spinning silk products and making silk fabrics.
